Lily bye-bye

I'm really sorry, Caroline, but I don't think I'm going to continue learning French, at least for now. I have to learn Spanish in school and I can't find a tutor for French. Thank you for this website, though. Continue

Caroline Cooper My Essay on "The Pearl" by John Steinbeck

I finished my essay! It's my first one of American Literature and in English (so please,be nice!).I know that it's probably not the best essay on earth but I'm proud of my work :) A friend from Maine gave me some of his notes for this book, and I have to thank him because it was really helpful. (I made a mistake in the original essay : I wrote "captived" instead of "captivated" because of the French meaning :"Captiver")… Continue

Yvette Lessard les conversations en français

I've gotten a new French book, kind of old so perhaps a few words are different from how they are now, but mainly it's been helping me with translating conversations to and from french, something I haven't had alot of practice in. So here is my practice. Regular text is from the book, italicized text is my answers. I would appreciate a quick read through to see if there's any mistakes, though hopefully there isn't...it's basic stuff. Copied from microsoft word so had to redo alot of the formatti… Continue

Ryan Mason Language Podcasts and Audio Lessons

I'm a big fan of using podcasts and audio lessons (such as the Pimsleur language sets) to study. As of right now Pimsleur and FSI French are the main ways that I hear French on a daily basis along with various podcasts from time to time to sort of reinforce what I'm learning. I'm planning to increase the amount of times that I listen to podcasts by finding more opportunities to pull them out, so I'm wondering if anyone else makes good use of such things. Hopefully we can create a list here of th… Continue

Yvette Lessard Hello :)

Bonjour ! Je me déplace en Belgium, après l'université, avec des amis. Français est dur pour moi. Je lis mais je ne parle pas. Très heureux, chacun. (Oui, mon français est terrible!) Yes, I know my french is terrible! :( Hello. I'm moving to Belgium, after college, with some friends. French is hard for me. I can read (and write it), but only a little of both) but not speak it. Lily hi

My town is really small- less than 2,000 people. Its in Maryland, US, and my school has less than 300 people. I have decided to learn French because I do ballet, and it would be easier to understand if I knew French. Also, I only know English now, and will have to take Spanish class next year, but I don't like Spanish. ;) Continue
